Your mom would love the gift of some of your time. As a senior, I am not impressed with things. In fact, I am trying to get rid of things. I so regret that I missed time with my mom.

My mother’s favorite gift… Four kids, each one has a color of notepaper. Write happy memories, fold and put all into a jar. Most precious, treasured gift. Twenty years later, we added notes from grown grandchildren.

A nice, long visit where you catch me up on the news of your life would be a wonderful gift. An invitation to go with your family to dinner is nice. A photo album of you and your family is a gift that keeps on giving. Basically, spend time with me so I don’t feel forgotten or unloved. I don’t need more “stuff.” I just need you.

I just want to hear your voice. A call lets me know you are thinking of me for a moment anyway.

I love seeing the precious smiles on my grandkids faces on Christmas morning. That is the most precious gift to me.

Us four kids: Mom, what do you want for Christmas / your birthday / Mother’s Day?

Mom: All I want is for you kids to get along!

    Poor Mom.

Just be there, make me feel that I am still relevant and important in your life. Don’t give me a token, give me you!

I would like time with my family. Also, any gifts should be consumables . I’m getting rid of things.
